The Sounds of Surrender festival focuses on showcasing the multiculturalism of music and its role in strengthening unity.
At the second concert of this year’s festival, entitled Faces of Romanticism, we will hear works by Romantic composers such as Max Bruch and Robert Schumann, whose famous Children’s Scenes will be heard in a premiere transcription for guitar and cello, as well as works by composers relating to the style of Romanticism – the famous Sonata for Cello and Piano by Sergei Rachmaninoff or a contemporary interpretation of Schumann’s music – “Über Liebe und Tod” by Michaela Catranis.
The concert will feature outstanding artists and some of the most outstanding young soloists from China, Poland and Italy, among others.
